
Economist Society of Kenya is a professional body established to advance the role of economists in design and execution of key issues related to economic development in Kenya and regionally. The society was established in 2015 and draws her members from across all sectors including; public sector, academia, research organizations, development sector and private-sector organizations such as banks, consultancy firms, industrial and manufacturing, service providers, development partners, among sectors.
ESK has cemented its position in shaping economic policy, development, and related policy debates by providing professional inputs and opinion. To assist in national strategies and problem solving, ESK organizes conventions, seminars, talks, forums and round-table discussions on topics of national economic importance for immediate and future action. The society also plays a crucial role in bridging the gap between aspiring and practicing economists by providing mentoring and linkage to young economists venturing into the field.
